Dulce Dessert’s talented team is happy to help translate your dream dessert into a delicious reality.  Our wedding cakes and desserts are handmade from scratch, using the highest quality ingredients and carefully crafted artisanal methods.  Cakes are torted into four layers, with three layers of filling and you can mix and match your cakes and fillings to achieve the dessert of your dreams.  We also offer custom dessert bars and buffets to satisfy any sweet tooth!

When should I call about my wedding cake? 

It is never too soon to taste cake! Since Dulce Desserts is a small boutique bakery, we only take a limited number of weddings or events per weekend. We recommend scheduling a consultation as soon as you book your reception venue. As soon as you know your date, time and location, we can make a commitment to deliver your fabulous cake!

What should I expect at a wedding cake tasting? 

Our private tastings take approximately 30-45 minutes. You will taste our made from scratch cakes and filling flavors as well as our fondant (if you wish) to get an idea of Dulce’s flavor profile. We will review our cake portfolio and also talk extensively about your personal style, the details of your wedding and reception plans, and your flavor preferences. Please feel free to use photos, pinterest boards, or other information to help illustrate your style, so we can incorporate these elements into your cake design! If you choose Dulce Desserts as your wedding cake provider, we can do a second tasting to try flavors of cakes and fillings in delicious combinations and finalize your design details if necessary.

Do you take last minute orders for wedding cakes? 

Although many couples plan their events months (or years) in advance, romance sometimes makes timelines narrower. Please call us to see if we are available – we will make every effort to accommodate your schedule!

What is your minimum order?

You can order a small 6” topper cake (this pairs perfectly with a cupcake display or dessert bar). The smallest tiered cake we make is a two-tier round cake, 6” and 8”, for 30 – 35 servings.

Do you require a deposit to book our wedding?

Yes. When you confirm your order, we require a non-refundable initial payment of 50% of your estimated total.

Are your cakes finished in buttercream or fondant?

We finish cakes in buttercream, fondant – or for non-traditional couples – ganache! Some designs require fondant; some do not.

Our Swiss fondant is thinly rolled by hand and applied over a full layer of buttercream. For those couples who love the look of fondant, you do not have to sacrifice the fabulous buttercream that lies beneath! Many couples (and planners) use Dulce Desserts specifically because of the quality of fondant and artisanal methods that we use to apply it to the cake. Also, our buttercream and ganache finishes are extremely smooth and can mimic the flawless fondant finish.

Please note that if you plan to have an outdoor wedding during warmer months, we cannot do a buttercream finish because it will melt! Team Dulce will work with you to achieve the right look and quality for your big day to avoid any dessert disasters.

I am on a budget, but want a cake from Dulce Desserts. Can we still get a cake from you?

The two main factors that affect price for wedding cakes are ingredients and decoration. Dulce Desserts cakes are made from scratch using premium ingredients, but we make every effort to assist couples at every price range. There are ways to stretch your budget for sweets – including adding a dessert buffet or having “side” cake for large weddings. Please let us know as much as possible about your budget and we will try to assist you in any way that we can.

Do you ship your cakes?

Unfortunately, we do not ship cakes because they are too easily damaged. We also do not freeze any of our products since this might diminish the quality we strive so hard to achieve. We can, however, deliver the cakes over longer distances if needed. Also, many of our clients have successfully picked up cakes for long-term transport themselves.
