Our cakes and desserts are handmade from scratch, using the highest quality ingredients and carefully crafted artisanal methods.
What is your minimum order for social events?
This depends on the type of dessert you intend to order and the level of customization you need. Our menu contains pricing information for all of our standard products, from cakes to cupcakes to cookies and bit e-sized desserts.
Should I book a consultation and tasting for my event?
Consultations are necessary for large celebration planning, but not required for smaller gatherings (i.e. 50 people or less.). All in-person consultations for larger celebrations include a complimentary tasting.
Do you take last minute orders?
Yes, however last minute orders limit available decoration and flavors and all orders must be place by phone (615.321.8700). We strongly recommend planning ahead and placing your order weeks or even months in advance. During holiday seasons and peak wedding season, we further restrict our offerings to meet the high volume of orders. Do you require a deposit in order to book a larger event?
Yes, for event orders that total more than $500, we require 50% initial payment in order to book your event. Smaller orders are paid in full at time of order.
Are your cakes finished in Buttercream or Fondant?
We finish cakes in buttercream, fondant – or for non-traditional couples – ganache! Some designs require fondant; some do not. Our Swiss fondant is thinly rolled by hand and applied over a full layer of buttercream. If you love the look of fondant, you do not have to sacrifice the fabulous buttercream that lies beneath! Many event planners use Dulce Desserts specifically because of the quality of fondant and method that we use for applying it to the cake. Also, our buttercream and ganache finishes are extremely smooth and can mimic the flawless fondant finish.
